Seems like anyone who can fly a drone is now a “tower inspector”. Tower Base went the other way around…
Tower Base was inspecting communication towers 30 years before there even were drones. Now we have chosen to employ drones for some types of inspections, but we subcontract the flights to established professional drone pilots and videographers, specifically DigitalSky (www.digitalsky.com). On every site we inspect with a drone, there is a professional DigitalSky pilot, but he/she is directed by an experienced Tower Base climbing inspector.
